Tools & Materials Needed:
Step by Step
| 1. Look at your sticking door and check reveal (crack between door and jamb) and find where it is closest to the jamb | 5. Take your 3″ screw and drill and drive it into the hinge/jamb in place of the screw you removed |
| 2. If it’s tight at the top go to the bottom hinge. If it’s tight on the bottom go to the top hinge | 6. Tighten down the screw to suck up the hinge and jamb |
| 3. Open the door and look at the appropriate hinge | 7. Close door and it should have reduced the rub by the door |
| 4. remove one of the screws | 8. If door still rubs you can drive a screw in the jamb on the latch side of the door where it is sticking or belt sand the door till it clears |
