Posted by on September 15, 2011

Tools & Materials Needed:

Step by Step

1. Take the utility knife and cut the tip of the caulk tube at a 45 degree angle to your desired size (the farther down the tube end the larger the caulk bead) 5. Pull the trigger a few times to make sure caulk comes out (if not, pull out tube and re-penetrate end)
2. Take the caulk gun, push lever on back and draw shaft all the way out 6. Hold caulk gun at a 45 degree angle and lightly press end of tube into desired corner
3. Penetrate the end of the caulk tube with a nail or the pin located either on the trigger or the barrel of the caulk gin 7. Pull trigger till caulk comes out of tube and pull it across the length of the corner or crack with an even, smooth motion.
4. Put the tube of caulk into the gun and push the slide bar on the back in until it holds caulk tube firm 8. Before caulk dries put light pressure on caulked corner with your finger and drag finger across the length of the caulked corner/crack (keep a paper towel handy to wipe excess caulk on)
